Conflicted! Vandy plays Murray State in the NCAA tournament

This is a happy time of year for me and I am so glad that two of my three alma maters are in the NCAA tournament this year.  Vanderbilt is a #4 seed in the West Region and Murray is a #13 seed in that same region.  If your math is good , you will quickly realize that these two teams will meet in the first round.  Black and Gold versus Blue and Gold-Dores versus Racers.

They will play on Thursday in Palo Alto, CA and it should be an interesting game.

The SEC came through with 4 teams in the tournament, but I was a little surprised that the fourth team was Florida and not Mississippi State, especially after the stellar performance of State in the SEC tournament.  The other teams in from the SEC in the tournament are Kentucky as a #1 seed and Tennessee as a #6 seed, a slight to the Vols when one looks at their overall performance.

More about the tournament to come, but I am looking forward to the game this week.
